As for the run & strategy, etc, this was a high-level review only. Maroney player poorly and I think Faulk’s hamstring injury was an underappreciated storyline since he had been a primary part of the offense in the playoffs (without him, the Pats could run very few two-back sets). That’s all I can really say, since by law we are not allowed to question Bill Belichick.

And third, I think one thing that needs touching on was the ‘Pats inability to run the ball. If you look at the Giant’s past few games they’ve given up a lot of rushing yards. Sure, Brady and company (me included) thought they would be able to simply out-pass the Giants, but how about the lack off coaching?/insight to maybe use the run to try and soften up the passing game…? Just a thought.
