Honestly I agree with the article that the individual batting can’t be held on Gibbons, as fro Ricciardi, he’s got some work to do. I think he made some good moves a couple years ago bringing in BJ Ryan and Troy Glaus and I think he’s capable of getting things going again for the Jays. Only time will tell

Haha, a team run well would have that hold true. For the Jays, it’s all about the marketing synergies involved so $100M will probably eternally be the spending cap…unless Uncle Ted has a change of heart/business philosophy.

More fans in the stadium means more money for higher salaries for good players.. Either way the Jays need to do something to get fans out and a good team because that SkyDome is SPARSE!

Definitely good players leads to full stadiums, man. If the Jays were in first right now they’d be averaging 32,500+ instead of the 25,000 they’re struggling to get now. A competitive team, good rivalries, and hope are what bring people out.

Also, in the other direction I’d say good players don’t come because of good fans, they come for winning franchises, which breed good fans.

I love Cito just as much as the next person but this is obviously just begging people to come to the games to see good ‘ol Cito. The skydome was packed in the WS days which led to good players. Or was it the good players led to the skydome being packed?
