[...] The On Deck Circle makes the point that the people saying Kevin Durant “had a coming out part...: “The message here is that you should believe the rush of Durant stories that are about to hit in earnest when they suggest he will challenge for MVP someday. You should believe them when they write how his scoring jumped nearly five points a night, and his rebounding increased by nearly four a game, when he moved from guard to forward. You should take note when they say he is a potential rival for LeBron for the next decade. You should even believe them when they proclaim him a future all-time talent. Just don’t believe them that he is potential All-Star “on the rise.” He is that, and more, already, even if you (and the coaches) haven’t come to see it yet.” [...]

The loss of Tyson should not change things - loads of cap space, loads of good young talent, loads of picks, and loads of Presti magic (how has the Presti - Presto pun not been made yet?). They just saved themselves from a potentially bad contract, so fans need not be upset.

A Moura - could not agree more. Presti just pushed Kevin Pritchard out of the seat as the L's best GM. Given that OKC is unlikely to attract any free agents based on its locale and media exposure, the best alternative is to build a young core around quality character guys that also happen to be amazingly versatile athletes that can cover multiple positions. If only BC had taken note here in Toronto...

AJ, I am not going to dignify your question with a response my friend.

BMurph, not stepping on any toes, just sharing in the love big guy.

On a related note, Sam Presti is running a clinic on how to rebuild a team. Durant, Green, Westbrook, Chandler, Kristic, and a load of draft picks ala the Kurt Thomas deal, plus a top 5 coming up in June.

Ignoring the fact that you took the theme for my next 31 articles, I agree wholeheartedly. I've managed to get most of my friends caught in the Durantula's web, and he's still skyrocketing. Exciting times for a KD fanatic.
