I would argue that none of the blame should be placed on Phil Kessel. People should be calling out Burke for slapping together a shit team that has an extremely low probability of getting significantly better (ie. championships). Kessel is not the lone 'missing link,' the team is not rebuilt, and like you said, Burke sold the farm to get him, so now what's next? That sweet smell of mediocrity...welcome home, Leaf fans!
