Kobe Bryant Blog Day
Posted by Blake Murphy on March 11, 2008
Today - Tuesday, March 11, 2008 - is a day that will forever live in infamy…at least for the world that is basketball blogging. Hardwood Paroxysm has organized an internet-wide 24 hour session of Kobe Blogging that is spanning most major blogs and a good number of smaller ones (us), bringing everything Kobe together for one full day. It is fitting, since he is a man so easy to discuss that he deserves his own blog day. Tonight Kobe faces the Raptors, the team he made his second greatest statement against (I count the rings over the 81 points), so March 11 is as fitting a day as any.
Trevor, a huge Kobe supporter, and I have both prepared articles for this momentous occasion. At the same time, I wanted to give anyone interested the chance to look back at past Kobe opinions on this space, all of which coincidentally also belong to Trev and I. So below are links to prior ODC articles with Kobe as the focal point.
To start the day off right and provide you with the resources should you choose to look outside of this site for more of your Kobe needs, here is the article that started it all and HP’s Kobe Bryant Blog Day Hub.

So, in the spirit of Simmons’ latest fare, what would have happened if Kobe had actually played for the Charlotte Hornets? Without dumping Divac’s contract, would the Lakers have been able to sign Shaq? Would Kobe have developed, as well as he did, sitting behind Glen Rice for a couple years when Glen was lights out and playing 43 mpg?
